If you read this article you can learn how to make wrinkles in your Halloween costume. This can be a brilliant finishing touch to your freaky combination.
Ironing method
- Use your iron in the opposite way, instead of smoothing out your clothes, make a wrinkle by pinching some fabric then fold it down while pressing.
- Add as many as you like.
- Another way to do this is put the clothes/costume in a heap on the ironing board and press with the iron in random places.
Dryer/drying method
- Get the piece of clothing wet, tie it up in string and throw it in the dryer.
- Or just wash it, and let it air dry in a lump.
Rolling method
- Roll the clothing around any cylinder shaped object.
Knotting method
- Take the fabric and tie it into one big knot.
- Wash it and dry it, when it comes out, undo it.
Tips
- Put a towel or a piece of fabric underneath your costume.
- Not all monsters have wrinkles, so if this doesn't suit you, pick a new idea.
- Be creative!
- If you feel the need to give up, then just draw the wrinkles. Try to make them as life-like as possible, though.
- If you squirt the garment with water from a spray bottle, then iron, the wrinkles will stay in longer.
Warnings
- Make sure you use the right setting on the iron to avoid burning anything or wetting anything.
- Also make sure it is okay to wash and dry the fabric.
- You should ask your parents before using an iron.
