How to Make a Cool and Unique Valentine's Day Box

Aug 6, 2009 09:09 PM

Do you want to have a really cool Valentines day box that everyone envies when you go to school? Here's how to make one.

Find a work area. Make sure you have a clean work area. Also ask before destroying your kitchen table.

Get materials. Make sure you have all your materials before you start. You don't want to have to run out to get felt and glue from Micheal's at 8:00 pm on February 13.

Find a shoebox. Depending on how many valentines you're planning on getting, find a shoebox sized accordingly.

Get tons of magazines. Look for a lot of magazines. Be sure to ask before cutting up your parents' magazines.

Plan. Decide what you want on the box before you start construction.

Cut. Get pictures, words, and individual letters to customize your box. Newspapers, magazines, and even fabric will do!

Paste. Gather all your clippings, and glue them all around your box! Try to organize them the way you want before actually gluing them on.

Doodle! Gather markers, pens, and colored pencils, and doodle all over your box! Write your name somewhere so people know who's box it is.

Tada! You're done! Congratulations! Go show everyone your cool Valentine's box!

Tips

  • Don't copy other people's designs. Be original!
  • Try decorating the entire container, not just the top.
  • Remember to make a hole. You could even just get some scissors and cut a slit in the top!

Warnings

  • Stealing your friend's ideas can offend them, and may result in a loss of friends!
